5 New Officers Hired to Woodbridge Police Force
Officers Patrick McGeehan, Jake Fasano, Jeffrey Schott, Justin Nerney and Adam Kazawic were sworn in Thursday afternoon.

Woodbridge, NJ - These five new police officers were sworn in Thursday to the Woodbridge Township Police Department.

The officers completed the state-mandated six-month police training program at the Monmouth County Police Training Academy and will immediately take-up street patrol assignments.

Their hiringĀ brings the number of Woodbridge police to maximum staffing levels, 198 officers.

Police Officer Patrick McGeehan
Police Officer Patrick McGeehan, 23, is a life-long resident of Colonia. P.O. McGeehan attended Colonia High School from September 2006 through June of 2010 and obtained his High School Diploma. P.O. McGeehan continued his education after graduation, attending Stockton University where he earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice in 2014. P.O. McGeehan comes to the WPD from Weldon Concrete in Westfield where he was employed since May of 2011. P.O. McGeehan graduated from the Monmouth County Police Training Academy and will take up assignment in the Radio Patrol Division.
Police Officer Adam Kazawic
Police Officer Adam Kazawic, 23, resident of Fords. P.O. Kazawic is a 2011 graduate of Bishop Ahr High School in Edison. P.O. Kazawic earned a Bachelorās Degree from Kean University where he majored in Accounting. Prior to becoming a Woodbridge Police Officer, P.O. Kazawic was a mechanic for Garryās Precision Automotive Repair which is a Township business located in Fords. P.O. Kazawic graduated from the Monmouth County Police Training Academy and will take up assignment in the Radio Patrol Division.
Police Officer Justin Nerney
Police Officer Justin Nerney, 27, resident of Woodridge. P.O. Nerney is a 2006 graduate of Woodbridge High School. P.O. Nerney has earned over 80 college credits from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island and is close to securing a BA. P.O. Nerney comes to the WPD from Richard Lucas Chevrolet in Avenel where he held the position of Service Advisor. P.O. Nerney graduated from the Monmouth County Police Training Academy and will take up assignment in the Radio Patrol Division.
Police Officer Jeffrey Schott
Police Officer Jeffrey Schott, 24, resident of Colonia. P.O., Schott graduated from Colonia High School in 2009. Prior to becoming a Woodbridge Police Officer, P.O. Schott served his community working for the Woodbridge Police Department as a 9-1-1 Telecommunications Operator as well as serving as an EMT with various First Aid Squads within the Township. P.O. Schott graduated from the Monmouth County Police Training Academy and will take up assignment in the Radio Patrol Division.
Police Officer Jake Fasano
Police Officer Jake Fasano, 23, resident of Woodbridge and a 2011 graduate of Woodbridge High School. P.O. Fasano earned a Bachelorās degree from Rutgers University where he majored in Psychology. Prior to becoming a Woodbridge Police Officer, P.O. Fasano served his community as a Woodbridge Auxiliary Police Officer. P.O. Fasano graduated from the Monmouth County Police Training Academy and will take up assignment in the Radio Patrol Division.
