Accused Edison Child Rapist Admits to Producing Child Porn

An Edison man who was arrested last year for raping a 14-year-old PA girl has now admitted to producing child porn, as well.

EDISON, NJ - An Edison man we reported on last year after he was accused of kidnapping a 14-year-old Pennsylvania girl and taking her to a hotel room, where he allegedly tied her up and raped her, has now also admitted to producing child pornography.

Michael Janeski, 38, of Edison, pleaded guilty Monday, Feb. 13, before a federal judge in Pennsylvania to production of child pornography. Janeski admitted that between November 2015 and February of 2016, he used an application on a web-enabled cell phone to coerce a minor into engaging in illegal sexual activity and subsequently stored images of the minor on a cloud-based storage system.

Janeski was arrested in York, PA for the child porn and his case was in a federal court in Harrisburg. It was also in York, PA where he was arrested last February. York police said he picked up the 14-year-old girl near her home in York and brought her to a motel just north of the city, the Wingate by Wyndham York.

He tied her up and raped her, police said. Police in York had been looking for the girl since she was last seen the night before. Police located the girl with Janeski in the motel room. She was returned to her family, and he was arrested.

It was York police who arrested him last February and then again this month. He will be sentenced to jail for the child porn conviction from anywhere from 15 to 30 years.
