WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The walk the Colonia Fire Department will lead this Friday, Sept. 11 is not open to the public to participate.
The walk is for Woodbridge Twp. first responders only; the public is invited to watch the walk, which will be very solemn.
The walk begins at 9:59 a.m., the moment that the World Trade Center's south tower collapsed, at Inman and Wood avenues. It will finish at the Colonia Fire Dept., 250 Inman Avenue, where memorial and prayer services will be held. Learn more here: twp.woodbridge.nj.us/m/newsflash/home/detail/1090
People walking include members of the Colonia Fire Dept., other firehouses and first aid squads, Woodbridge Police and Woodbridge CERT, among others.
This is to honor and remember the nine Woodbridge residents who were killed in the terrorist attacks, and all 2,977 people who were killed the day.
The public is welcome to view the walk as it proceeds down Inman Avenue. The public cannot participate in the walk.
The public is welcome to attend the Township-sponsored memorial ceremony at the conclusion of the walk, which will be held in the parking lot of the Colonia Fire Department on Inman Avenue.

Tonyell McDay: Computer technician at Marsh Technologies
Narender Nath: Marsh & McLennan employee
Sankara Velamuri: Employee with the NY Dept. of Taxation & Finance
