
3 Middlesex County College wrestlers are All-Americans: Billy Bonnette, from Robbinsville, finished sixth in the 157-pound class. John McArdle (Franklin) won the National Championship held in Rochester, MN in the 184-pound weight class. Sam Emburgia (Monroe Township) came in seventh in the 141-pound class.
Overall, the Middlesex wrestling team was ninth out of 46 schools participating and third among Division III colleges.
"Wrestling is very strong in this area," said Bob Wisniewski, the Middlesex athletic director. "I'm very happy with their success. The program is continuing to get stronger and the coaching staff is doing an excellent job." The coaches are head coach Mike Malinconico and assistants Dan Corio and David Saraiva.

Former Middlesex and Rutgers wrestling coach John Sacchi attended both tournaments as the athletic administrator.
