Black Bear Spotted Again in Middlesex County Monday

A black bear was again seen in Middlesex borough Monday, police said. He was sighted in the area of Marlborough Ave. Monday afternoon just before 2 p.m.

A bear was seen in Middlesex borough Friday evening, at around 6 p.m., on Possumtown Rd. near the Middlesex/Piscataway border. It is not known if this is the same bear. Regardless, police advise residents to keep their distance. So far this June, black bears have been seen in Iselin, Scotch Plains, South Brunswick and have frequently been seen in Watchung.
