And did you know? Blue Apron was co-founded in 2012 by Matthew Wadiak, a former Carteret resident, along with Matt Salzberg and Ilia Papas. The new facility was constructed to meet the demand of their subscribers in the New York Metropolitan area. Blue Apron ships 8 million meals a month.

“Blue Apron is an innovative business model for people with busy lifestyles. It is unique in that it provides healthy meals to subscribers as opposed to the alternative fast food options,” said Mayor Reiman. “I think it is great that Matt wanted to do a career fair in Carteret.”
