1986 World Series Champion Wally Backman Scheduled to Appear at Ader’s Tavern in Union Beach, New Jersey

Union Beach, NJ – September 22, 2025 – Wally Backman, a 14-year Major League Baseball veteran and member of the 1986 World Series Champion New York Mets, will make a public appearance at Ader’s Tavern in Union Beach, New Jersey, on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. (ET).

During the event, Backman will greet fans, sign autographs, and take photos. Known for his grit and leadership on the field, Backman played an integral role in the Mets’ historic 1986 championship season.

Autograph & Photo Opportunities

• Autograph + Photo Op: $25 in advance / $50 at the door (attendees must provide their own memorabilia)

• Bat Autograph + Photo Op: $40 in advance / $60 at the door (bat not included)

• 1986 World Series Champion Inscription: $40

• Additional Autographs: $10 per item

• Mail-in Autographed Item: $25 (for fans unable to attend in person)
