Carteret Liquor Store Sells $149,426 Winning Lottery Ticket

CARTERET, NJ — It's time yet again to check your pockets if you play the lottery. That's because not only did this Carteret liquor store sell a $149,426 winning ticket from the Sunday, Sept. 16 drawing, but an Avenel food market sold a third-tier $10,000-winning ticket in Friday, Sept. 14's drawing.

The two local locations, announced by the NJ state Lottery Monday morning:

One lucky ticket matched all five numbers drawn winning the $149,426 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Sunday, September 16th drawing. The winning numbers were: 01, 10, 24, 35 and 39 and the XTRA number was: 02. The lucky retailer that sold the winning ticket is State Wine & Liquor, 78 Washington Ave., Carteret in Middlesex County.

There was one third-tier prizewinning ticket sold for the Friday, Sept, 14th drawing that matched four of the five white balls and the Gold Mega Ball drawn winning the $10,000 prize. That ticket was purchased at Sunny Mart Food Store, 1182-1184 Rahway Ave., Avenel in Middlesex County.
