Carteret’s Latin Fest Returns This Saturday To Waterfront Park
Saturday's festival will feature live music by international recording superstar Amarfis, whose hits include 'El Pollo' and 'Spanish Girl.'
CARTERET, NJ — After Carteret had to cancel Latin Fest last summer due to the pandemic, the very popular annual festival is back this year.
Latin Fest will be held at Carteret's Waterfront Park and Veterans Pier (100 Middlesex Avenue) this Saturday, July 31 from 4 p.m. onwards.
The festival will feature live music by international recording superstar Amarfis, whose hits include “El Pollo” and “Spanish Girl," as well as Swing Combo, Santo Ferreira y Su Bachata Elegante and DJ sets from the Latin Mix Masters DJs and MC Willie Will.

There will also be fireworks, Hispanic food, vendors, rides for kids, a beer garden and all the best salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia and musica tipica.
“Latin American culture is part of the fabric of Carteret and our region,” said Carteret Mayor Dan Reiman. “Carteret’s annual Latin Fest highlights the music, food, sense of community and history that our Latin American residents are celebrated for.”

Carteret’s Waterfront Park features a recently constructed 185-slip boat marina, a walking and fishing pier, mini golf and playgrounds. Carteret hopes to one day bring New York City ferry service to its Waterfront Park.
