March is here and it’s time to get creative! The Woodbridge Public Library is excited to announce that March is Makers Month. This month-long celebration is inspired by New Jersey Makers Day and NJ Stem Month which aims to inspire and activate libraries to showcase and highlight STEM and maker culture.

We have events for all ages, so everyone can join in on the fun! Children, teens, and adults will all find something exciting to participate in.

For children ages 9-13, WeMake 4-H will be presenting Web Design using HTML on March 11th and 3D Design on March 25th. These events are perfect for young minds who are interested in technology and design.

Our teen events are just as exciting! Teens can Design and Unwind at all locations or Get to Know Sphero on March 29th. These events are a great way for teens to socialize and learn new skills.

Adults can get in on the fun too! On March 9th Master Gardener Evelyn Fuertas will present Everything You Need to Know about Container Gardening, March 22nd, we will explore the History Of Quilting And Modern Quilts and on March 30th a presentation called Mothers of Invention will feature Carol Simon Levin portraying Lillian Moller Gilbreth, a motion study pioneer and “Cheaper by the Dozen” mother of 12. She will also share stories of other overlooked women innovators, including many women of color. Plus, our Friday Movies at Main will feature women in STEM.
