Chronic Disease Self-Management Workshop

Free workshop to help you deal with chronic pain at the Woodbridge Main Library!

Are you or a loved one living with arthritis, diabetes, high blood pressure, chronic pain, anxiety or other ongoing health conditions? It is time to take control of your health!

Join us for a FREE health education workshop for people with any ongoing or long-term health conditions or their caregivers. This six-week workshop will be held at the Woodbridge Main Library. The workshop will run 2 hours per session and have one session per week. The workshop will be held on Thursdays, September 5, 12, 19, 26 and October 3 & 10, from 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM.

Social workers Melissa Krublit M.S.W. and Julie Haklar, M.S.W., L.S.W. will be leading the workshop.

During the workshop you will learn:
How to manage your symptoms
How to get started with healthy eating and exercise
How to communicate effectively with your doctor
How to manage fear, anger and frustration
How to make daily tasks easier
