Colonia Branch Of Woodbridge Library Will Be Closed 'Til 2022

Damaged by flooding in Tropical Storm Ida, the Colonia branch of the Woodbridge public library will remain closed until next year.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The Colonia branch of the Woodbridge public library will remain closed until next year, Woodbridge Township announced Wednesday morning.

The Henry Inman branch had been closed since September 1 due to flood damage sustained during Tropical Storm Ida.

But now the Township revealed that the losses and damage were so great — including all of the floors damaged, four feet of wallboard around the building flooded, and some of the furnishings, shelves and more than 3,000 books ruined by flood water — that the building is required to be closed to the public until 2022.
