Colonia High School In Woodbridge Nominated For Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards

Colonia High School in Woodbridge is a finalist for three awards, and it received five honorable mentions in the Paper Mill Playhouse 2015 Rising Star Awards program.

The school has been nominated for its play, Carrie: The Musical.

Winners will be announced in June.

• Outstanding Performance in a Featured Role: Tiffanie Arokiaswamy, who played “Chris Hargensen”
• Outstanding Performance by a Chorus
• The Educational Impact Award

• Outstanding Overall Production of a Musical
• Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role: Kelly Hedden, who played “Carrie White”
• Outstanding Achievement by a Teacher or Outside Director: Stephanie Platko
• Outstanding Achievement in Music Direction : Eric Johnson, Kevin Perdoni
• Outstanding Achievement in Choreography and Staging: Kristin Ruta
