Colonia High School In Woodbridge Is Ranked #84 In New Jersey

Colonia High made the Niche.com list of the state's Best Public High Schools. Check out the rankings for all three township high schools.

Colonia High School is ranked 84 on a list of the 100 best public high school in New Jersey, according to ranking published by the website, Niche.com.

Colonia High School earned an A overall grade and A grades for student culture and diversity and health and safety. It earned an A- for academics. It received B grades for administration and policies, and food. The school earned B+ grades for educational outcomes, extracurriculars, sports and fitness, and teachers. It received B- grades for resources and facilities.

The township’s two other public high schools, John F. Kennedy Memorial High School and Woodbridge High School were ranked 115 and 152, respectively.

A county school, Middlesex County Academy for Allied Health & Biomedical Sciences, which is based in Woodbridge was ranked as number 86.

Niche.com ranked more than 14,000 high schools nationwide and in Puerto Rico, based on statistics and opinions from parents and students.

It used government and public data sets, its own proprietary data and responses from more than 280,000 students, recent alumni and parents, according to its website.

“A high ranking indicates that the school is an exceptional academic institution with a diverse set of high-achieving students who rate their experience very highly,’’ the website said.

Another 834 schools, including magnets, charters and online schools, received grades but were not eligible for ranking.
