Colonia's Mike Schiavo Out on "The Voice"

We're truly sorry to see him go. But Edison's Moushumi advances.

Woodbridge, NJ - We're truly sorry to see him go.

Colonia's own Mike Schiavo was kicked off "The Voice" Monday night, after he lost his Battle round to Caroline Burns, of Hollis, New Hampshire. Schiavo's coach, Adam Levine, choose Burns over him during their Battle duets, when they sang Meghan Trainor's "Like I'm Gonna Lose You."

The song did seem better suited to Burns' voice, and Schiavo's voice seemed straining and even nervous in the beginning. Watch the duet sing-off here. Coach Blake Shelton said Schiavo was too passive in the song, while Pharrell and Christina Aguilera disagreed, saying he did a good job. But sadly, in the end, Adam Levine chose Burns.

So it's goodbye to Mike. The Colonia native originally wowed all the judges on the show with his bluesy, rockabilly style. He truly seemed to have a unique musical talent. Patch hopes he continues his musical career. Please keep singing and writing music, Mike!

Edison's Moushumi, however, stays on the show. She was chosen as the winner of her Battle duet, singing Ed Sheerhan's pop hit "Photograph" with Jonathan Hutcherson. Pharrell chose Moushumi over Hutcherson. Watch Moushumi's duet below:
