EDISON, NJ— Two Edison police officers, one current and one former, were arrested today for plotting to set fire to a superior officer's home, according to the Middlesex County Prosecutor's office.
Officer Christian Pedana and former-officer Michael Dotro were charged with conspiring to commit aggravated arson, and official misconduct for their April 2013 scheme.

Dotro, 39, of Manalapan, and Pedana, 44, of Edison, wanted to set fire to a superior officers home on April 7, 2013. The fire was never set, and no one was hurt as a result.
Pedana has been on the force for 16 years, and is also charged with false swearing and official misconduct after he lied to detectives during the June 2013 arson conspiracy investigation against Dotro.
