Dog Hit By Car In Woodbridge Ready For Adoption

Violet was found the afternoon of Easter Sunday on Alwat Street and she even had tire marks on her.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — This puppy was hit by a car on Easter in Woodbridge Township and not one person ever came forward to claim her, Woodbridge Animal Shelter said. She was found the afternoon of Easter Sunday on Alwat Street and she even had tire marks on her.

She is now ready for adoption, the shelter says, but it must be to a family ready to take on a high-energy puppy. The shelter named her Violet, and she is a young female Mastiff mix.

"She has made a complete recovery!," the Woodbridge Animal Shelter said on Facebook. "She is not a 'test' dog — her family must, from day one, be ready and willing to spend the time on her. As a reward for your commitment, she will lay in your arms for hours, just grateful to have love. She does get clingy so people socialization is a must, too! Once you meet her you'll understand."
