East Brunswick's Strays to Go to Woodbridge Shelter
Woodbridge Animal Shelter will now be housing stray animals from East Brunswick, Spotswood and South River.

Woodbridge, NJ - The Woodbridge Animal Shelter will now be housing stray animals from East Brunswick, Spotswood and South River for the next three months, a township official confirmed.
It’s part of a shared-services agreement Woodbridge has with other towns, said township spokesman John Hagerty. Woodbridge currently shelters strays found in Milltown, South Amboy and Roselle Park. Those towns pay Woodbridge $10,500 per year, $12,600 per year and $19,700 per year respectively, because Woodbridge also provides Animal Control Services there.
Now, East Brunswick, which includes the areas of South River and Spotswood, will pay $175 per animal housed in Woodbridge. That’s because Woodbridge just provides shelter services and not animal control, he said.
