Elizabeth Man Killed In Carteret Motorcycle Crash

An Elizabeth man, 26, was killed early Monday morning when he crashed the motorcycle he was driving into a UPS truck on Blair Rd.

CARTERET, NJ — A 26-year-old man from Elizabeth was killed early Monday morning when he crashed the motorcycle he was driving into a tandem UPS tractor trailer in Carteret, police said. Update: Fabio Caballero-Carcamo, 26, has been identified as the Elizabeth man who was killed.

The fatal accident happened at 4:39 a.m. today, Monday, Oct. 8: The accident happened right outside the UPS freight service center on Blair Road in a very industrial section of Carteret. The man was driving his motorcycle in a pre-dawn ride in the usually empty industrial area.

"The UPS truck was turning into the UPS parking lot and the motorcyclist collided with it," said Carteret police Capt. Michael Dammann. "The man ended up underneath the vehicle."

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are not yet releasing his identity.

No charges have been filed against the driver of the UPS truck.
