Outdoor Sportsman's Show Takes Place at Raritan Center

Hunters and outdoors aficiandos can enjoy the weekend at the Garden State Outdoor Sportsman's and Adventure Show featuring the Garden State Deer Classic through January 15. The event takes place on Friday from 1 pm to 9 pm, Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 5 pm. The cost is $10. Click here to purchase tickets.

Some of the highlighted events are as follows:

Wild World of Animals featuring Grant Kemmerer. This is a show on animals, birds and reptiles such as the American alligator, European eagle owl, opossum, binturong and spot nose guenon;

Incredible Birds of Prey presented by Grant Kemmerer and The Wild World of Animals. This is a show about exotic birds like parrots, parakeets and love birds;

Fly casting demonstrations by Captain Mike Corblie who has fished for more than 30 years throughout the U.S., Canada and Mexico. He holds a U.S.C.G masters license, an A.F.F casting instructors certificate and has set a number of I.G.F.A world records;

The New Jersey Bass Federation will host a Reel Kids Casting Competition. Participation is free and open to children of all ages.
