Enjoy the great outdoors in Colonia on April 21 starting at noon at the Garden Conservancy's Open Days Program. The self-guided private tour of the Babbling Brook located at 335 New Dover Road in Colonia starts at noon.
The Garden Conservancy’s Open Days Program has been opening the gates to America’s best private gardens since 1995. The 2012 season features more than 300 gardens in 19 states. A $5 admission fee at each garden supports the expansion of the Open Days Program around the country and helps build awareness of the Garden Conservancy’s work of preserving exceptional American gardens such as Greenwood Garden in Short Hills and fifteen other preservation projects.
Babbling Brook is located on three and one-half acres adjacent to the Colonia Country Club. This garden has been in the same family for fifty years. It includes a brook, two ponds, specimen trees, a greenhouse, waterfall with fishpond, perennial borders, wild garden, and indoor and outdoor pools that give this property uniqueness. All this while sitting majestically on a hill enjoying the expansiveness of the fairways beyond.
