Final Day Of Diwali Food Drive Saturday In Woodbridge
The community is asked to donate whatever food or toiletries they can from 10 a.m. to noon at Indiana Avenue school #18 parking lot.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — As they do every autumn, the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh Society of Woodbridge will hold a SewaDiwali foo drive, in conjunction with the Hindu holiday of Diwali.
Their food drive was a month long this October and they will hold the final drive-in food drive and concluding event at 10 a.m. this Saturday at Indiana Avenue school #18 parking lot.
The community is asked to donate whatever non-perishable food items or toiletries they can. All donations will be given to "We Feed Woodbridge."

Mayor John McCormac and other town leaders will be there Saturday. Drop off food until noon.
This year, 20 Woodbridge public schools, the Goddard school, Wegmans and many other community organizations participated in the drive. Indian grocery stores in Oak Tree Road also donated food during Diwali.

Last year, their SewaDiwali donated 13,500 pounds of food, plus ShopRite gift cards to "We Feed Woodbridge" and received the Mayor's award for excellence in community service.
