Free Rabies Shots Offered In Woodbridge

The Woodbridge Department of Health & Human Services - Animal Control Division is offering FREE rabies inoculations.

WHAT: The Woodbridge Department of Health & Human Services - Animal Control Division is offering FREE rabies inoculations for Woodbridge Township dogs and cats onMon., Feb. 9 and Wed., Feb. 11, 2015 from 6:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Woodbridge Health Center, 2 George Frederick Plaza (adjacent to the Main Library and Woodbridge High School).

The Animal Control Division will sponsor a pet micro-chip clinic ($25.00 fee) for Woodbridge Township dogs and cats on Mon., Feb. 9 and Wed., Feb. 11, 2015 from 7:00 to 8:00 P.M.at the Woodbridge Health Center. Local veterinarians will be on-site to administer pet micro-chips - $25.00 fee includes micro-chip, administration, lifetime pet i.d., and registration with Home Again, the national pet recovery database. Micro-chipping your pet ensures their safe return and provides owners with peace of mind.

All Woodbridge Township pet owners must license and inoculate dogs and cats five months old or older. If a dog or cat has not been inoculated since 2013/2014, the pet must be re-inoculated. Pet license, proof of prior rabies inoculation and spay/neuter certificate must be presented at time of inoculation (except for first-time pet inoculations).

Woodbridge Township pet licenses may be purchased at the Rabies Clinic for unlicensed pets. Dog license fees are $18.00 (non-spayed/neutered) or $15.00 (spayed/neutered.) Cat license fees are $23.00 (non-spayed/neutered) and $13.00 (spayed/neutered). Attention Senior residents: Ask about the reduced-fee pet licenses for Senior pet owners. Resident pet-owners in South Amboy and Roselle Park are welcome to participate in the program (Rabies inoculation will be free with proof of licensure; non-resident $10.00 fee if pet is not licensed.)
