A reminder that Woodbridge Township will be giving free rabies shots this Saturday, Dec. 5. Bring your cat or dog to Richard Lucas Subaru (1077 Rt. 1 South in Avenel) from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The first 100 people to show up will also receive a free microchip for their pet, administered by veterinarians from the Woodbridge Animal Shelter. ($25 fee after the first 100 pets). Now that a fox has been found with rabies in Colonia, a rabies vaccine is more important than ever.
All Woodbridge pet owners must license and rabies inoculate dogs and cats five months or older. If a dog or cat has not had a rabies shot since 2014/2015, the pet must be re-inoculated.
