On Saturday, May 17 from 1-6, the Y was at the Waterfront Field in Elizabeth for "Get Fit Day". This was sponsored by the United Way of Greater Union County and the city of Elizabeth.
Jessica Samolewicz, Associate Executive Director at The Gateway Family YMCA - Five Points Branch and Michael Johnson, Director of Association Initiatives at The Gateway Family YMCA had a table with Y info, and youth Activities such as "Bean Bag Toss", "Nutrition Password", "Nutrition Jeopardy", "Seek and Find", and others.
Poli lead a Zumba class to start the activities. The main event was at 3 pm when the New York Red Bulls lead a Soccer Clinic for all youth ages 7-16. Captain America was provided by the United Way.
