Get To Know Seeing Eye Dogs!

​Meet REAL seeing eye dogs at the Woodbridge Library August 12 at 4PM!!

Join the Woodbridge Public Library August 12 at 4PM as The Seeing Eye organization provides an overview of the work they do including their history, breeding, puppy raising, and training programs. Discover the joys, rewards, and hard work of raising a puppy in The Seeing Eye's puppy raising program, learn how The Seeing Eye matches dogs to potential owners, and more! Members of the organization will be bringing an actual seeing eye dog for us to meet as well!

This is a hybrid event! This event will take place in-person outside in the courtyard at the Woodbridge Main Library. If you do not feel comfortable attending the event in-person we will also be streaming the event via Zoom. If extreme weather is expected the day of the event (heavy rain, excessive heat, or a serious storm) the event will revert to being completely virtual via Zoom.

The Seeing Eye is a guide dog nonprofit with a mission to enhance the independence, dignity, and self-confidence of blind people through the use of Seeing Eye dogs. In pursuit of this mission, The Seeing Eye: breeds and raises puppies to become seeing eye dogs; trains seeing eye dogs to guide blind people; instructs blind people in the proper use, handling, and care of the dogs; conducts and supports research on canine health and development.
