“The technology features, location and accessibility to transportation were all key factors that allowed us to pinpoint this ideal space for Helsinn Therapeutics’ U.S. operations,” James Postell of Transwestern’s Tenant Advisory Services said in a prepared statement. “The company’s relocation is representative of a larger trend in which pharmaceutical companies are continuing to choose New Jersey for offices that are more conducive to their evolving space needs.”

The Woodbridge property was built out to include new conference rooms, meeting areas and offices. Transwestern also equipped the space with video conferencing capabilities that will allow Helsinn staff to communicate effectively with employees at its corporate headquarters in Switzerland, according to the news release.

“As we continue to expand our U.S. operations, we felt now was an opportune time to relocate to an office space that better fits our needs,” Helsinn Therapeutics’ representative, William Mann, said in a prepared statement. “Once the Metropark area was identified as the right location for us, Transwestern’s understanding of the area and integrated approach to leasing and project management were critical in helping us secure the ideal space.”

Helsinn Therapeutics and Transwestern were named to NJBIZ’s annual “Best Places to Work” in New Jersey list.
