Groundbreaking Of Cypress II Recreation Park Monday

U.S. Sens. Bob Menendez and Cory Booker will be at Cypress Park at noon Monday, July 24, to announce the groundbreaking for Phase 2:

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — U.S. Sens. Bob Menendez and Cory Booker will be in Woodbridge this Monday, July 24, to announce the groundbreaking and start of construction for the Cypress II Recreation Park in Port Reading.

Phase 2 will complete Woodbridge's investment in a multi-purpose level playing field at Cypress Park, and a special-needs facility.

Funding for the second phase of the project was made possible through a $1 million recreation facilities improvement grant sponsored by Menendez and Booker.

Mayor John McCormac will be there Monday, as will other Woodbridge and Middlesex County officials. The groundbreaking event will be at noon at the Cypress II Recreation Center, 141 B. Street, Port Reading (across from D’Orsi’s Bakery).
