WOODBRIDGE, NJ — As Patch reported yesterday, Woodbridge Township is currently seeking proposals for someone to build and operate a tiki bar at the town-owned marina in Sewaren (648 Cliff Road).

Now, here is how you can apply to build and operate the bar: Division of Purchasing Bid Opportunities through Woodbridge Township: https://www.twp.woodbridge.nj.us/196/Division-of-Purchasing

The Division of Purchasing receives bids and quotes for projects done for the Township, and oversees the process and awarding of all business contracts with the town. To request specific bid specifications, you are asked to visit the Woodbridge Purchasing Division in person, at 1 Main Street, third floor Woodbridge, New Jersey 07095 or call the Woodbridge Purchasing Department at 732-602-6001 with further questions.

Woodbridge is looking for someone to construct a 215-seat outdoor tiki bar overlooking the marina. The town said it will ask whoever is selected to also build restrooms, add new and improved walkways, lighting, fencing and additional parking.

Bids are due to Woodbridge by Aug. 22.

This week, Woodbridge provided renderings of how it envisions the tiki bar will look. The Township is calling this the "Up Smith's Creek complex."
