Here's Where You Can Vote Early, In Person In Woodbridge

Vote early in person Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Acacia Center, which is the old Hungarian Club at 95 Port Reading Avenue.

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — The midterm election is Tuesday, but polls have been open since last Saturday across New Jersey, as the state begins its second year of early, in-person voting 10 days before the actual election.

In Woodbridge, you can vote early in person at the Acacia Center, which is the old Hungarian Club at 95 Port Reading Avenue.

It will be open for voting until 8 p.m. Friday, from 10:00 a.m. - 8 p.m. Saturday and from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Sunday.

If you want to wait until Tuesday to vote, you can vote at your regular polling place, which will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Find your polling place here: https://voter.svrs.nj.gov/poll...

If you want to drop off your mail-in ballot, put it in the drop boxes in front of Town Hall and also the Woodbridge Main Library. You have until 8 p.m. Tuesday to drop it there.

Here is a reminder of who is running this year in Woodbridge:

  • U.S. Congress: Woodbridge is in the Sixth Congressional District, long represented by Frank Pallone, a Democrat. This year, he will be challenged by Republican Sue Kiley, the former mayor of Hazlet and a Monmouth County Commissioner.
  • Woodbridge town council:

Only one seat open and that is in the First Ward: Current Councilwoman Sharon McAuliffe (D) will be challenged by Republican candidate John Vrtaric.

  • Woodbridge Board of Education: Four Woodbridge residents are running for three seats. They are:
    • Tom Maras
    • Current Board member seeking re-election, Akshar "AJ" Sidana "Improving Education" slate
    • Current Board member seeking re-election, Jonathan Triebwasser "Improving Education" slate
    • Current Board member seeking re-election, Joseph Velez "Improving Education" slate
