Come to the Main Library at 7pm on Thursday, April 14 to enjoy a free theatrical performance of John Cariani’s Almost, Maine presented by the Hudson Shakespeare Company.

On a cold crisp late winter evening, in a town that's almost not on a map, a group of people find love, friendship and unexpected connections in the pleasant little community of "Almost, Maine". The charmingly quirky comedy serves up a series of short skits that show different residents and visitors in the span on one night in a town in Northern, Maine that doesn't have a zip code but latitude and longitude coordinates.

This romantic comedy is comprised of nine short scenes and runs about an hour and 30 minutes. It was first developed in 2002 @ the Cape Cod Theater Project and it made its Off-Broadway premiere in 2006.

The Hudson Shakespeare Company (http://www.hudsonshakespeare.com/) was founded in 1992. The company is known for pushing nontraditional casting in regards to gender and ethnicity in Shakespearean roles and for bringing contemporary productions to a number of unconventional venues throughout New Jersey.
