Learn About Income Tax at the Woodbridge Public Library!

Monday, April 1 at the Woodbridge Main Library @ 7:00 PM. Woodbridge native, Andy Panko will present a broad overview of income tax

The Woodbridge Public Library System is hosting a variety of free programs in celebration of Money Smart Week 2019!

Money Smart Week Programming kicks off on Monday, April 1 at the Woodbridge Main Library @ 7:00 PM. Woodbridge native, Andy Panko will present a broad overview of the income tax system. Topic that will be covered include-- how the income tax system works, what sources of income are taxed and which aren't, how to file your income tax returns, and basic strategies to minimize tax.

Andy Panko is a Woodbridge native who now resides in Edison with his wife and two daughters. He has 19 years of professional experience at multiple global insurance companies, brokerages and investment banking organizations. He is also the owner of a tax return preparation company, Tenon Tax Preparation LLC.

Andy holds the Certified Financial Planner (“CFP®”) and Retirement Income Certified Professional (“RICP®”) designations, and has completed the requirements necessary to obtain the IRS Enrolled Agent designation. He has an undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Delaware and a Masters of Business Administration from Rutgers University. Furthermore, Andy previously taught four semesters of finance courses as an adjunct lecturer for Rutgers Business School.

Money Smart Week is the broadest and most comprehensive financial education program in the country. Started in 2002 in Chicago with just 40 programs, it has expanded significantly to become the only national educational program for people at all stages of life.

According to exit surveys, most participants indicate they’re likely to change the way they manage their money after attending a Money Smart Week Class.
