At Least 18 Crashes In Middlesex County Sunday Because Of Slick Roads
Two patrol cars were struck by sliding vehicles at crash scenes, police said.

The South Brunswick Police Department asked residents to limit travel on Sunday morning as officers dealt with as many as 18 motor vehicle crashes.
The early morning freezing rain created hazardous conditions around the township, police said. At 7 a.m., police started receiving numerous reports of crashes around the township.
Between 7 and 9 a.m., there were 18 motor vehicle crashes with no serious injuries. Two patrol cars were struck by sliding vehicles at crash scenes, police said.

There have been five reports of people falling on ice as they walked in driveways and sidewalks.
The township, Middlesex County and the state public work crews were out salting the roads. Road conditions were starting to improve as the temperature rose and the freezing rain changed to plain rain.
