NJ Amazon Worker Dies In Fulfillment Center On Prime Day: Reports
An Amazon worker died last week at a fulfillment center in Carteret on Prime Day, the company's annual major sale event.

NEW JERSEY - An Amazon worker died last week at a fulfillment center in Carteret on Prime Day, the company’s annual major sale event.
The identity of the worker was not released as of Wednesday morning.
“We’re deeply saddened by the passing of one of our colleagues and offer our condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time,” Amazon spokesperson said in a statement. “We’ve contacted his family to offer support and will provide counseling resources to employees needing additional care.”

The death, which occurred on July 12 at Amazon’s EWR9 fulfillment center on Industrial Highway, was first reported by HuffPost reporter Dave Jamieson.
The death is currently under investigation by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s Avenel area office, according to NJ.com.
