Middlesex County Fair To Be Held In August

Nominations are due soon for the Middlesex County Fair King and Queen. Nominate your kids, ages 7- to 11-years-old.

The Middlesex County Fair is almost here.

The fair, held at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds, 655 Cranbury Road in East Brunswick, will run this year from Aug. 3 to 9.

About 85,000 people are expected to visit the fair, now in its 77th year. It’s one of the county’s oldest outdoor events.

One boy and one girl (ages 7 to 11-years-old) will be crowned king and queen of the fair on opening night.

Contests include an animal contest, a home arts competition and a 4-H competition.

The animal contest is open to cats, dogs, puppies and kittens. Entry forms are available here.

The home arts show accepts entries ranging from cakes to quilts.

The fair also includes lots of music and a mobile educational farm center, where kids can learn about farming and see animals including a goat, miniature horse and sheep.

  • Hansen’s Spectacular Acrobatic Sensations
  • UWA Elite Pro Wrestling

Fair Hours are:

  • Monday to Friday: 5 p.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Saturday: 11 a.m. – 11 p.m.
  • Sunday: 11 a.m. – 10 p.m.

General Admission Prices:

  • Adults – $7
  • Seniors (ages 65+) – $4
  • Children (ages 3-12) – $1
  • Children age 2 and under – Free
