Middlesex County Fair Runs Monday-Sunday, Aug. 7
The fair runs all this week at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds in East Brunswick.

The Middlesex County Fair will run from 5 to 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 1, through Friday, 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 7. The fair is located at the Middlesex County Fairgrounds on Cranbury and Fern roads. 85,000 people attend the Middlesex County fair every year.
There will be:
- 4-H animal shows
- Rides & food
- Home horticulture tips from Rutgers Master Gardeners
- A "Great Fair Bake Off" will take place Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Home Arts Building, according to MyCentralJersey.com. Competitors have to bring in an 8-inch or more cake and each cake must include a special ingredient. The ingredient is a vegetable for adults, and fruit for teenagers. You must pre-register for the bakeoff. Call (732) 257-8858 to register.
- A children's play area — "Do You Want To Be A Farmer?"
- "Disability Day" on Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A chance for those with physical or mental disabilities to enjoy the fair without crowds. There will be a special show, a 4-H animal exhibit and the amusement rides will be open.
