Middlesex County Ice Skating Rink Opens For The Season

EDISON, NJ— Its that time of year again: the Roosevelt Park Family Ice Skating Rink is open for the season.

The popular ice skating rink has been a family favorite and teen hangout spot for its fourteen seasons in operation, drawing large groups on the weekends.

“The ice skating rink is one of our most unique recreational facilities and is fun for the entire family,” said Freeholder Charles E. Tomaro, chair of the County’s Infrastructure Management Committee.

Love the idea of ice skating, but get tired of falling down after a while? The Skate Zone Cafe has a variety of snacks for sale, including hot chocolate to complete the winter experience.

The rink is open between Wednesday and Friday from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., and on the weekends in three sessions: 12:30 to 2:30pm, 3:00 to 5:00pm, and 6:30 to 8:30pm. It's located at the Level Playing Fields of Roosevelt Park, adjacent to Menlo Park Mall.

Admission is $6 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and children 17 and under. Skates are available for rental for $5.
