Middlesex County Launches Junior Rangers Program This Summer
Complete any five activities at your leisure this summer and your son or daughter will earn a Junior Ranger badge. Good for kids ages 4-10.
MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — Middlesex County invites residents to explore its beautiful parks and open spaces through its Junior Rangers program, a free, interactive initiative for children and families that offers hands-on learning and outdoor adventures.
The program is recommended for children ages 4-10 and introduces them to local wildlife and environmental stewardship through an activity booklet filled with fun, self-guided activities.
After completing five activities in the Junior Rangers activity booklet and submitting photos for proof of completion, participants will officially become a Junior Ranger and win a limited-edition Junior Rangers puzzle.

This program is self-guided and may be completed at any time.
How to Become a Middlesex County Junior Ranger:

1. Get the Activity Booklet: Residents can request a physical activity booklet to be mailed to them at DiscoverMiddlesex.com/JuniorRangers or download a PDF version.
2. Explore and Learn: Go out and visit any of Middlesex County’s vibrant parks and outdoor spaces. Activities include wildlife observation, litter clean-ups, outdoor games and more.
3. Complete Five Activities: Finish any five of the listed activities and document progress as instructed in the booklet.
4. Submit Proof of Completion: Use the online form at DiscoverMiddlesex.com/JuniorRangers to submit proof and receive a limited-edition Junior Rangers puzzle.
5. Share with Community: Join the @MiddlesexCountyJuniorRangers Facebook group to share your discoveries and see what other Junior Rangers are up to.
WHERE: Participants are encouraged to visit any Middlesex County park or outdoor space to complete this program.
