Middlesex County Spraying for Mosquitoes Tuesday, Wednesday
A low-flying helicopter may be seen near uninhabited, wetland areas of Middlesex County between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Middlesex County, NJ - The Middlesex County Mosquito Extermination Commission will be inspecting and spraying certain areas for mosquitoes on Tuesday and Wednesday of this week, May 10 and 11, the county announced Monday.
A low-flying helicopter may be seen near uninhabited, wetland areas in North Brunswick Township between 5 a.m. and 8 p.m. on those days.
The helicopter will spray aerial larvicide treatment on non-residential areas such as marshes and wetlands, which are common breeding grounds for mosquitoes.
You may see the helicopter flying over residential areas; however, no spraying is done over residential neighborhoods, the county says. The pilot is merely positioning the helicopter to approach wetlands in nearby areas.
