Middlesex County's Teacher Of The Year Is...

Highland Park, NJ - The best teacher in Middlesex County, as determined by the powerful state teachers' union, the New Jersey Education Association, is Sara Dea, who teaches at Highland Park Middle School.

Dea teaches eighth-grade English teacher at the school. Highland Park schools also made the news this month, as the district is leading the state in transgender bathroom policies.

The top teacher in every New Jersey county was selected by panels of administrators, teachers and parents.

“NJEA is proud to join with students, school employees, parents, and others in congratulating the 2016-17 New Jersey County Teachers of the Year,” the NJEA said in a statement. “They are an impressive group of educators; we applaud their achievements inside and outside the classroom and we thank them for making their careers in public education.”
