Middlesex Prosecutor Investigating Baby's Death in Woodbridge

The 4-month-old boy died Tuesday at a daycare center in Iselin.

The Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, along with Woodbridge Police, are investigating the death of a four-month-old baby at a daycare center in Iselin on Tuesday.

“The MCPO (Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office) and Woodbridge PD are working together to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death,” a spokesman for the county prosecutor’s office told Patch Wednesday.

No charges have been filed at this time, but law enforcement is looking into how and why the infant boy died. He was found unconscious Tuesday afternoon at a daycare center at 284 Middlesex Ave. at 4:45 p.m. He was rushed to JFK Medical Center, but pronounced dead of a cardiac arrest.

Police on Tuesday night said they didn’t think his death was suspicious, but the investigation continues.
