MillerCoors Makes Donation to Woodbridge River Watch

Volunteers from Miller-Coors LLC helped the Woodbridge River Watch

MillerCoors LLC of Edison NJ made a $1000 donation to the Non-Profit environmental group Woodbridge River Watch on November 5th. On October 2014 members of MillerCoors spent a full day at the Oros Park on Omar Ave. in Woodbridge Township.

During that time they doubled the size of the Butterfly Garden at the park and planted flowers and shrubs in the new area. MillerCoors supplied all of the flowers, shrubs, soil and garden tools needed to enlarge the Butterfly Garden.

The Woodbridge River Watch plans on using this donation to improve the water sprinkler system at the Butterfly Garden and to also start a WildFlower garden using only indigenous plants dedicated exclusively to the protection and promotion of pollinators and their ecosystems.

The Butterfly Garden at Oros Park is a certified and registered Monarch Waystation with Monarch Watch at www.monarchwatch.org . We have sighted Monarch Butterflies this year and have also noted Monarch caterpillars. The Oros Park is a wildlife preserve and is one of two sanctuaries that Woodbridge River Watch helps to maintain.
