Miss NJ Speaks at 107th Public Issues Day
Miss NJ and others spoke at the 107th Public Issues Day held in Edison

One hundred fifteen woman’s club members were in attendance at New Jersey Sate Federation of Women’s Clubs of GFWC 107th Public Issues Day at the Pines Manor in Edison. With presentations expounding on the theme “Tomorrow…Your Reward for Being Safe Today”, members were captivated and enthralled with the inspiration and material provided by these dynamic speakers:
Lindsey Giannini, Miss New Jersey 2015, is a woman of great achievement who encouraged members to “never be silent, let your voice be heard”. Her personal philosophy is, “What we do for ourselves dies with us; what we do for others remains and is immortal”, and she practices what she preaches. In 2012, she designed a “Stay Alive…Don’t Text and Drive” street sign that warns of the dangers of distracted driving. There are currently over 117 signs posted and the sign has been provided to 17 states and 3 countries. Lindsey has testified in front of the NJ State Senate to discuss the creation of a distracted driving task force and has advocated for the increase of fines for distracted driving in NJ.
