Free movies @ the Woodbridge Main Library - Fridays @ 2pm!

On March 9 the Woodbridge Main Library will begin a new film series scheduled Friday afternoons at 2 PM that will focus on our furry friends and the ferocious beasts that terrify us. The first movie is Hachi, a drama based on the true story of a very faithful Akita Inu. This is a British-American remake of the Japanese film, Hachikō Monogatari. On March 16, we will screen Secretariat, a sports drama about the 1973 Triple Crown Winner. March 23 will feature War Horse, director Steven Spielberg’s World War I drama about a young man and his beloved horse. The Legend of Tarzan, a romantic drama based on Edgar Rice Burroughs’s classic character, will be shown on April 6, followed by A Dog’s Purpose, a comedy based on W. Bruce Cameron’s 2010 novel of the same name, will be shown on April 13. On April 20 we will present The Zookeeper’s Wife, a drama starring Jessica Chastain as the wife of a World War II era zookeeper. Our series concludes with Kong: Skull Island, a blockbuster action film depicting the epic battle between man and nature.

Our films are sponsored by the Friends of the Libraries of Woodbridge Township. Light refreshments are provided by the Woodbridge Library Foundation. These films are free and open to all.

The Woodbridge Public Library is located at 1 George Frederick Plaza, Woodbridge, NJ.
