New QuickChek Opened In Avenel Oct. 16

WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Did you notice it? A 4,542-square-foot QuickChek store opened on Rt. 1 south in the Avenel section of Woodbridge this Tuesday, Oct. 16.

The area's newest QuickChek is located at 1001 Rt. 1 south in Avenel. It's located at the corner of Rt. 1 South and Avenel Street.

The new store will be open 24 hours a day. The Avenel QuickChek also features the newest design for QuickChek stores, with more than 50 percent of the store dedicated to fresh food and beverages.

QuickChek is a family-owned company based out of Whitehouse Station, NJ.

“More than half the store is dedicated to food service and fresh beverages,” said QuickChek CEO Dean Durling.

The new food menu includes six-inch and nine-inch subs, comfort food such as QuickChek’s new Mac & Cheese bowls, the company's new seasonal caramel apple beverages as well as fresh-brewed, limited edition Harvest Spice coffee for the fall season. Amenities in the new store include no-fee ATMs; outdoor seating for eight people and 16 gas fueling stations.

The new Avenel store creates 50 new local jobs, including eight management positions. Each new QuickChek location typically generates approximately $1 million in tax revenues. QuickChek will donate $0.25 for every sub, sandwich and wrap sold in the store from October 16-November 14, 2018 to the Woodbridge Wizards youth basketball teams.

Grand Opening promotions include free large QuickChek hot coffee offered to all patrons from October 16-28, 2018. As an added value, all 6-inch QuickChek subs are $3 for a limited time and all handcrafted QuickChek smoothies and specialty drinks are $2 from October 16-28, 2018 and empanadas are 2 for $3 from October 16-28, 2018.

QuickCheck was named the 2016 National Convenience Store Chain of the Year by Convenience Store Decisions magazine in part due to its dedication to customer needs.
