New Urgent Care Center Opens in Edison

Now open in the Wick Shopping Plaza on Rt. 1 South, the center also offers acupuncture and physical therapy.

EDISON, NJ - Immediate Care, a chain of urgent care facilities, just opened a new location in the Wick Shopping Plaza on Rt. 1 South in Edison.

The center opened its doors on Friday, Jan. 27, and offers physical therapy and acupuncture in addition to urgent care. The center will be open seven days a week, including most holidays, from 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. on weekends.

The company has urgent care centers in Toms River, Hazlet, East Windsor, Red Bank and Lacey, but Immediate Care Medical Walk-In of Edison is the first center to offer the acupuncture and physical therapy.

The center will also provide services such as pre-employment, sports and school physicals, occupational health services and vaccinations/immunizations. Both X-ray and laboratory services will be available on site and no appointment is necessary.

The center will be staffed by physicians and nurse practitioners. Dr. Asha Vijayakumar will serve as the center's medical director. You can make an appointment at 1-855-Walk-Ins.
