Officials Announce $3 Million Redevelopment Project In Woodbridge
The project is expected to generate at least 50 new jobs and will be built on a long-abandoned site in the Fords section of town.
A new, $3 million redevelopment project will be built on a long-abandoned manufacturing site in the Fords section of Woodbridge, officials said.
Woodbridge Township Mayor John E. McCormac, members of the Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency, representatives from the Adler Development Group and the Woodbridge Township Department of Planning & Development held a ceremony Monday to announce the start of construction at the former Moldieco Plastics manufacturing site, according to a township news release.
“The start of demolition marks the development of a $3 million project that will transform the vacant industrial site into a new multi-use industrial business warehouse facility that, when completed early next year, will generate more than 50 new jobs to Woodbridge Township,” McCormac said in a prepared statement.

According to the news release:
Moldieco Plastics was a warehouse facility built in the 1950s on King Georges Post Road in Fords.

The Adler Development Group’s project will include new construction, along with the renovation of part of the existing warehouse.
The 39,000 square-foot project will create eight interior units of flex space. Each of those unit will have warehouse and office areas. The project will also include 70 parking spaces and new landscaping and lighting.
Also in attendance for Monday’s announcement were: Josh and Seth Adler, Adler Development Group and Project Developer, Caroline Ehrlich, Director, Woodbridge Redevelopment Agency, and Marta Lefsky, Director, Woodbridge Township Department of Planning & Development.
