Perth Amboy Man Shot, Drove Car, Crashed And Died, Police Say
The man crashed Sunday night at Hall Avenue and High Street. When police pulled him from the car, they saw he had been shot several times.
PERTH AMBOY, NJ — A 41-year-old Perth Amboy man was shot several times just before he was involved in a single-vehicle car accident Sunday night, according to the Middlesex County prosecutor.
He died of his injuries at Staten Island University Hospital.
At 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Perth Amboy police responded to a 911 call regarding a one-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hall Avenue and High Street. Upon arrival, officers observed that the driver of the vehicle, 41-year-old Vidal Carrasquillo-Vasquez, appeared to be suffering from several gunshot wounds.

Carrasquillo-Vasquez was transported to Staten Island University Hospital and was subsequently pronounced deceased.
The official cause of death is pending the results of the autopsy. The results of which are forthcoming.
