Phil Murphy Will Be in Woodbridge Monday
The Democratic governor hopeful who's leading the polls is holding a press conference with PBA Local 105 at 5 p.m. at Ariana's Grand.

WOODBRIGE, NJ - Leading New Jersey governor candidate Phil Murphy will be in Woodbridge Township Monday, April 10, where he's doing a campaign stop at Ariana’s Grand. Murphy will be holding a press conference at Ariana's Grand at 5 p.m. with Policemen's Benevolent Association Local 105 President Brian Renshaw to announce their shared plans for New Jersey’s state corrections system. According to Murphy's campaign, Renshaw will make a major announcement about the 2017 New Jersey's governor's race (likely his endorsement of Murphy), and State PBA President Pat Colligan will also give remarks.
All members of the press, law enforcement and PBA Local 105 are invited to attend. Ariana’s Grand is at 800 Rahway Avenue in Woodbridge, NJ. PBA Local 105 represents over 6,500 active state corrections, juvenile justice and parole officers in the state and over 12,000 retirees. As the largest union in the state, PBA Local 105 represents officers charged with maintaining the state’s incarcerated and paroled populations.
Murphy is seeking the Democratic nomination for governor, and is running against state Sen. Ray Lesniak and Middlesex County Assembly John Wisniewski. He made millions working for Goldman Sachs, donated heavily to Barack Obama's presidential campaign and in return, was named an ambassador for the Obama administration to Germany. He and his family live in Middletown and he is now campaigning for governor. Polling shows Murphy in the lead.
