WOODBRIDGE, NJ — Here are photos from the Woodbridge St. Patrick's Day parade, which was held Sunday down Main Street.

Every year, the Woodbridge parade is one of the largest St. Patrick's Day celebrations in New Jersey. The parade is run by the American Irish Association of Woodbridge, which spends months, if not the entire year planning the event.

Irish step dancers entertained at the parade. There was also the passing of the shillelagh to parade grand marshal Ken Egan from past grand marshal Maryalice Jacko.

U.S. Congressman Frank Pallone (D-NJ6) was there, plus North Jersey Congressman Josh Gottheimer (D-NJ5) and NJ Speaker of the Assembly Craig Coughlin, who represents Woodbridge in Trenton. Former New Jersey Gov. Jim McGreevey was also there; McGreevey got his start in politics as the mayor of Woodbridge.

In addition to Grand Marshal Egan, Irish Man of the Year was Jim McFadden, Irish woman of the year was Mary White Natale, Irish lady in waiting was Brittany Bader and Miss American Irish was Victoria Gomez.

Past Woodbridge St. Patrick's Day parade grand marshals were also in attendance Sunday, including Jack Wall, Jim Carroll, Sean Keaveney, Joan Dias, Tom Henderson, Frank Darcy and current Woodbridge Mayor John McCormac.
